From a city plaza to the whole planet

The Earth zoom out is the hook everyone is using: the video opens on a person, then the camera flies straight up, faster and faster, until the whole Earth hangs in space. It stops the scroll because the scale changes so fast. Here it starts from your own photo, so the person waving at the start of the zoom is you.

What you get

  • The opening. An ultra-wide selfie angle from slightly above: you stand in an open city plaza in daylight, looking up and waving at the camera.
  • The rise. In one unbroken take with no cuts, the camera rises faster and faster while tilting to look straight down, keeping you centred: the plaza, the city blocks, the coastline.
  • The planet. Through the curved horizon and the thin blue atmosphere, until the whole Earth hangs in black space among the stars.
  • The sound. A rising cinematic swell that fades into a quiet, airy space drone.

How to make it

  1. Add a photo. A clear, front-facing selfie works best; one photo of two people works too.
  2. Keep Earth Zoom Out selected. Or try another effect from the grid.
  3. Make it. In a few minutes the clip is ready to download.

Tips for a better zoom-out

  • Use a clear photo. The first frame is you waving up from the plaza, so a sharp, well-lit face matters most.
  • Any background works. The plaza is made by the AI, so you do not need an outdoor photo.
  • Reverse it for a transition. Play it backwards to fall from space down onto you, then cut to your real video.

More effects and a rap

The same photo works with the other effects too: Money Rain, Turning Metal, Disintegration, Red Carpet and more on the AI video effects page. Or switch to the Rap video tab and make a rap starring you and a friend with the AI rap generator.

FAQ

Earth zoom out: questions

  • Add a clear photo (a selfie, or one of you and a friend), keep Earth Zoom Out selected, and tap Make the effect. The AI renders the clip in a few minutes: it opens on an ultra-wide selfie angle from above as you look up and wave in an open plaza, then rises all the way out to the whole planet.

  • No. One photo is all it takes, and there is nothing to stitch or reverse: the zoom-out is rendered as one unbroken take with no cuts.

  • Yes. Use one photo of both of you, or add a photo of each person and you stand side by side in the plaza, waving up, before the camera rises away.

  • It starts at 5 seconds: 5 credits at 720p or 2 credits at 480p; you can make it longer or sharper before rendering. One-time packs: $6.99 for 14 credits, $29 for 75, $99 for 340, $199 for 800, or $499 for 2500. A 720p, 12-second video uses 10 credits; a 480p, 5-second video uses 2. The studio shows the cost before generation.

  • Yes. Creators often reverse it in their editor so the video zooms from space down to them, then cut to their real clip.
